Wisconsin kindergarten teacher accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student ‘inside the school’
A 31-year-old kindergarten teacher in Wisconsin is accused of having sex with a teenage boy and allegedly begged his parents not to report her to the police.
Elizabeth Dillett appeared in a Milwaukee County courtroom on Thursday to face two counts of sexual assault of a child by a person who works or volunteers with children and two counts of sex with a child age 16 or older, WITI reported.
However, prosecutors have filed four new charges against her including two counts of second degree sexual assault of a child and two additional counts of sexual assault of a child by a person who works or volunteers with children.
Dillett, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, is also the athletic director at St. Peter-Immanuel Lutheran School where she taught kindergarten.
‘She is our athletic director, kindergarten teacher, and has been a fantastic teacher,’ Mike Wolf, spokesman for St. Peter-Immanuel Lutheran School, told WITI.
The victim is not a current student at the school, but Wolf said: ‘It might have been in athletics that they got to know each other.’
According to a criminal complaint obtained by WITI, Dillett first had sex with the teen at her home in late February, before there next encounter inside the school in mid-March.
